Recrutam un Project Director pentru unul dintre liderii europeni in domeniul constructiilor, care se ocupa de proiecte nerezidentiale de mari dimensiuni: constructii industriale, centre logistice, spitale, malluri, centre de afaceri, cladiri mari de birouri etc. Noul Project Director va fi subordonat country manager-ului. Sediul central al firmei in Romania este la Bucuresti, insa noul Project Director se va ocupa preponderent de proiectele din vestul tarii, asa ca mobilitatea trebuie sa fie foarte mare. Salariul si celelalte conditii sunt la nivelul marilor corporatii multinationale. Candidatii trebuie sa aiba experienta manageriala relevanta in domeniu si sa vorbeasca bine limba engleza. Cunoasterea limbii germane constuituie un avantaj.


Reporting to the Country Manager, the Project Director is person responsible for the delivery of the entrusted projects, from the pre-design up to the construction and for the profitability of the operations in line with contractual agreements and the objectives of the company. A real team leader, he has a privileged function of maintaining the customer relationship and managing his team composed of (Senior) Project Managers.


Prospection and conception:

  • Provide technical support to business development teams during prospecting activities
  • Meet clients with the commercial team in order to understand their needs and the specificities of their project (nature of the site, its users, the investors, etc.)
  • Propose technical and cost-effective solutions adapted to the costumer’s needs
  • Prepare and optimise the design of the building and its technical solutions
  • Estimate the design’s costs and prepare a preliminary time schedule
  • Launch the preparation of all the necessary documents required for the feasibility studies and including the verification of all the bills of quantities, including M&E
  • Define the offer and manage the finalising and briefing with the business development teams and the Estimating department
  • Support the business development teams during negotiations
  • Be the principal point of contact for the customer and the company’s representative for the duration of the project
  • Ensure the client’s satisfaction all over the project duration


  • Take part in contract approval with the business development team and in coordination with the legal and finance services
  • As the contract’s director, approve all its details
  • Prepare all technical and administrative documents (bonds, insurance certificates, )
  • Ensure compliance to all legal, technical and insurance commitment throughout the contract duration
  • Be with the business development team for the signing of the contract and be the guarantor of the initial commitment in terms of price / time schedule / quality


  • Build the project team ensuring that team members have the skills needed to fully complete the project
  • Lead the project team (design office, technical inspection consultants, sub-contractors, Health & Safety coordinator, )
  • Fill in project management data
  • Organise and follow up administrative procedures
  • Edit the technical description of the project during company consulting phase
  • In coordination with the Purchasing service, handle the purchasing of all good necessary for the completion of the project
  • Verify the financial stability of sub-contractors and seek the best ways and means to maintain costs within budget limits in coordination with the Purchasing service
  • Guarantee the realisation of the project in accordance with the contractual agreements:
    • Monitor the realisation of the different work progress’ (customer relations, schedule adjustments, )
    • Produce the technical summary of the different building trades’ interventions (construction system, networks, geotechnical, )
  • Be responsible for all health and safety aspects on the construction site which are necessary to complete the project successfully and apply the group procedures and corresponding security regulation to all actors working on the project
  • Guarantee the delivery of the project:
    • Clear snags
    • Ensure the completion and the follow-up on after sales guarantees (ten-year guarantee, )
  • Complete reporting and the objective risk management
  • Make sure that the group’s best practices are used by your project team

Cost and construction schedule management:

  • Take charge of (for Turnkey projects (TKP)) or participate and control (Engineering, Procurement & Project Management (EPCM) contract) the financial study of the project at the commercial state in order to ensure a level of gross profit margin and net profit margin consistent with the objectives
  • Participate to the contract committees with the management
  • Be co-responsible for the sale-purchase contract by setting the project’s cost price and by elaborating the sales price with the business development team
  • Sign the Sale-purchase paper with the sales representative and the studies representative
  • Guarantee the respect of budget previsions for the project after the signature of the client contract by being subject to the Country Manager or the Technical Director of the country
  • Manage amendments to contracts and the realisation of client and sub-contractor guarantees
  • Complete billing for clients and monitor billing for sub-contractors, clients reminders and the management of the budget until the closing of clients’ accounts
  • Ensure the respect of cost limits, the improvement of profit margins, efficient purchases and good contract amendment management

Team Management:

In coordination with the Country Manager or the Technical Director of the country, the Project Director takes charge of all or part of the team management of the (Senior) Project Managers entrusted to him.

  • Manage the employees of the entrusted project team
  • Participate in the recruiting of the employees
  • Coordinate the activity according to workload and priorities
  • Accompany the development of the team (feedback, interviews, incentive for trainings, )
  • Ensure a good communication inside and outside the team
  • Esteem individually and collectively and sanction if necessaire
  • Take care of the fulfilment and well-being of its employees
