General Manager Romania for Cutting-edge IT solutions Captive Center

Recrutam un Country Manager Romania pentru pentru o prestigioasa corporatie din domeniul IT de varf care are un important centru local de dezvoltare, cu sute de angajati in unul dintre marile orase ale Romaniei. Noul General Manager va face parte din structura regionala europeana si va conduce toate operatiile din Romania. Candidatii trebuie sa aiba experienta manageriala relevanta in structuri IT de mari dimensiuni. Salariul, conditiile de lucru si toate celelalte avantaje sunt la standardele internationale corespunzatoare.

Is reporting to: Regional structure (European HQ)

Direct reports to the position: 5 Division Managers (Product development, Product development, Administration& HR). Finace & supply are group functions.

Scope of business Romania: The General Manager to be found has to ensure stability, motivation and business participation of Management and staff and this in accordance to our leadership requirements. This role will be one of great impact and is responsible for managing all KPIs and SLAs of the center.

Scope of strategic responsibility: Business-wise, The Director of the captive Service Center is responsible for the day-to-day center operations in close collaboration with the Regional structure (European HQ)

Is responsible for:

Leadership and cooperation responsibilities:

Local:

  • Manage direct reports and staff according to the — Guidelines of Management and Cooperation.
  • Being the overarching and integrating leadership person that consolidates and develops people to drive the Romanian business

International:

  • Pro-actively networking with colleagues of the whole group and the headquarter to seek and foster best practices, synergies and impulses.

Operations: Assures quality and timeliness of service delivery (software development)

  • Ensures that results are in accordance with agreed metrics and the operating plan
  • Partners with the HQ to execute regional operational objectives
  • Oversees the enhancement of the processes & services by implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Manages resources and work environment of our captive center
  • Allocates resources based on demand
  • Identifies, implements and manages process and facilities modifications
  • Owns delivery against budget for captive center cost and continuous improvement pipeline
  • Ensures pipeline, skills and capabilities exist and are developed within the Center
  • Resolves escalated issues

Talent management: Maintains a strong external focus to lead innovative approaches that solve staffing/talent needs unique to the Center; Provides strategic planning around sourcing of talent, retention and on-boarding and development of employees. Establish linkage/understanding of Romania labor market and labor laws

Desired profile of candidate:

Career cornerstones:

  • Relevant education (Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar) to minimum equivalent of Master level (MBA can be an asset)
  • +10 years’ experience with broad managerial, functional service/project experience in software development & deployment
  • Relevant Microsoft, Unix/Linus, IOS previous exposure is required
  • Experience in leading large multifunctional teams in a matrixed reporting environment
  • Supervised managers of multifunctional or global teams in the past
  • Managerial experience, of which at least 5 years in a relevant role (general manager/engineering manager/chief architect) in an IT company
